Day 146: Review - Lessons 131 & 132

Below are the links to my original posts for the lessons we are reviewing today:

Day 131: No one can fail who seeks to reach the truth.

Day 132: I loose the world from all I thought it was.

Spending five quiet minutes in the morning and the evening, we begin our meditation for today:

My mind holds only what I think with God.

Imagine your mind as a vast ocean in which you float.  Each breath you take is a great wave that washes over you.  Let yourself sink deeper and deeper, as you travel down into the depths of your subconscious.  Any extraneous thoughts that come merely skip upon the surface of the water.  They cannot follow down to where you go.  Amid the darkness of the sea's great depths, you see a light upon the ocean floor.  It dances playfully and peacefully as its beams refract and bend along the ripples and the currents in the water.  It warms you as it shines upon your skin, and then you start notice that your skin has taken on a certain glow.  As you near the source of light down in the deepest of your ocean's waters, your body is no longer there, but where once it was shines now the same Bright Light which you have reached.  You look around to see that countless other figures, all who have come here to join with you, shimmer in their shapeless forms and shine with that One Light which now connects you to them all.

No one can fail who seeks to reach the truth.

Our thoughts are the seeds of creation.  If, in our thinking, we resolve to find the Truth, we can be certain we will reach it.  The Truth is not elusive.  Nor is it illusive.  It stands still and sure, unlike the scattered illusions of our world.  To seek the Truth is to seek our freedom from the falsehoods that have kept us bound to misery.  To seek the Truth is to seek another way of being, to seek another way of seeing.  To seek the Truth is to awake from sleeping, no longer holding on to pointless dreams which hold us hostage from the Love and Joy that is our birthright.

I loose the world from all I thought it was.

As we embark upon our journey for the Truth, this world will begin to lose its grip on us.  For this is but a world of infinite illusions.  Some illusions are reflective of the Infinite Glory that awaits us, but reflections must not be mistaken for the Truth.  We may think the world now a place where opposition reigns, where every joy must have its consequence.  But this need not be so.  When we commit to Seeing Truth for What It Is, its Light will shine through all the darkness that we once perceived.  As this Light begins to break through all that we had thought we knew, the very ground we walk upon may surely feel shaky.  Fear not, for God is with you.  Where the rug is pulled out from beneath our feet, we fall into a Peaceful place, one where there will be no walls to trap us - neither above nor below, nor anywhere around us.

At the conclusion of our meditation, when we open up our eyes to see our old familiar world once again, look closely at the images surrounding you.  What meaning do they hold within your heart?  Will it matter when, come years from now, they are no longer there?  Or will you have replaced them with still other images?  This is a temporary place where our spirits have come to dwell.  But they will leave one day and move onto far different lands.  While we're here, let us seek the Happiness to which we are entitled.  Follow the Light of Truth, and watch as this world fades and from behind its veil emerges someplace Grand, someplace our imaginations can only begin to touch.

Until tomorrow,
Journeyman
