Here are the links to my previous blog postings for the lessons we are reviewing today:
Day 97: I am spirit.
Day 98: I will accept my part in God's plan for salvation.
Sometimes we forget that we are more than a body. But we are. We are so much more. One of the mantras I say daily in my own personal meditation is, "I am not my body. I am greater than my body. I extend into all things, seen and unseen." This is important to remember. Even our bodies are connected to every other particle of matter in the universe. These particles are just so microscopic that we cannot see them, and therefore we perceive ourselves to be separate from each other and every other object we see.
On both a spiritual and scientific level, we are beings of energy operating within a massive energy field. This energy field, in spiritual terms, is God. Our individual units of energy, then, are our souls. Our energies are all connected, and they must be, for energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It simply is, always has been, and always will be. What affects one of us affects us all.
Salvation is the "waking up" of our consciousness. This is God's plan, and He has entrusted every single one of us with a role in bringing this forth. As Beings of Energy within God's Energy Field, each one of us is of vital importance in ensuring the world's salvation. Remember, what affects one of us affects us all. Salvation is only final once everyone has been saved. We each have a part to play.
So what does "salvation" mean, exactly? What are we waking up from, and what is it we are waking up to? Salvation, as I understand it now, is the ultimate realization that We are All One. The physical manifestations of this world do not actually exist, and salvation is the true knowledge and awareness of this. Our belief that we are of this world and thereby separate from each other is precisely what we are waking up from.
The world we see is a projection of our thoughts. That which seems tangible and solid is actually a hologram. It is not real in and of itself, but only a reflection of what it is we are thinking. As we have been given free will, we can choose to think in alignment with God (which are thoughts of Love, Unity, Peace and Joy), or we can choose to think with our ego (the part of our minds which believes it is separate and alone). The ego's thoughts are distinguishable from God's in that they are frantic, competitive, judgmental, angry and fearful. It is by thinking these thoughts that we have made the tumultuous and terrifying circumstances we find on our planet today. Salvation is our rescue from these illusions.
In our recognition and continued remembrance that we are not our bodies, but ever-expansive spirits - connected to one another and to God in an Infinite Energy Field - we will determine our individual roles in God's plan for salvation. We each must bring one another to a wakened consciousness. We begin with ourselves, and in turn - through our unique gifts, talents and abilities - others will follow in suit.
May you charged with awareness of our Oneness and serve as an inspiration to others on this day.
Until tomorrow,
Journeyman

Day 113: Review - Lessons 95 & 96
Today we review the following:
Day 95: I am one Self, united with my Creator.
Day 96: Salvation comes from my one Self.
As I have mentioned several times in previous postings, we are all One. All of us are joined together by virtue of the fact that we are all extensions of the same Source, which is God. Combined, we are the Whole Sonship, which means that we are all the Son of God. This is the meaning behind "I am one Self, united with my Creator." It is from our knowledge and awareness of our Oneness that we will bring salvation unto the world.
"I am you are me are we are all." I wrote this in Day 95. When you look at another, do you not see two eyes, two ears, a nose, and a mouth? Even on a purely physical level, we are more alike than we are different. Emotionally we are even more in common. We all want to feel good. We all want to feel loved. We all have dreams, desires and ambitions. The form these take may vary, but that is all relative. All in all, we are the same through and through. We are all Love, expressed in an infinite number of different ways, and thank God for that. One of the beauties of Life is the variety it offers. It may seem like a contradiction, but this variety is only possible because of our same-ness. Our Source is One and the same. And our Source, God, operates on the principle of expansion. Constant change and motion are the crux of such a principle, and we are here to express His Love in as many ways as we can conceive.
Think of it this way: Science has shown that of the billions, perhaps trillions, of snowflakes that have fallen, there is not a single one that is identical to another. Yet each snowflake is made of the same substance - water. Each of us is like a single snowflake - unique and precious in our own way, yet made of the same "stuff" as everyone else, including our Source. And that "stuff" of which we are created, of course, is Love.
In our true and consistent recognition of this, we are saved. Our salvation is one another, by Seeing that there is actually only One of us. In this realization, we will no longer starve one another, inflict war upon each other, nor steal, nor lie, nor cheat. We will no longer do these things, for we will know that in so doing, we are only harming ourselves.
Let us try today, then, to see more what we have in common with the people we encounter than how we may differ. Do this with your family. Do this with your friends. Do this with the strangers you pass on the street. Where differences arise, let us rejoice in the blessed variety which Life offers, as we see those differences merely as unique expressions of the same "stuff" of which we are all made - Love. By taking just this simple step, we will make leaps and bounds toward achieving our salvation here on earth. So let us not delay in seeing one another as One.
Until tomorrow,
Journeyman

Day 112: Review: Lessons 93 & 94
Here are the links to my previous blog postings for lessons 93 and 94:
Day 93: Light and joy and peace abide in me.
Day 94: I am as God created me.
I looked up the word "abide" on dictionary.com, and here are the top three definitions:
Day 93: Light and joy and peace abide in me.
Day 94: I am as God created me.
I looked up the word "abide" on dictionary.com, and here are the top three definitions:
- to remain; continue; stay: Abide with me.
- to have one's abode; dwell; reside: to abide in a small Scottish village.
- to continue in a particular condition, attitude, relationship, etc.; last.
What a wonderful discovery it is to know that Light and Joy and Peace remain with us all our lives; that these virtues not only stay with us, but live and reside in us; and that they continue to last, unaltered and in the same condition as they were given when God created us!
This concept may seem like a falsehood when we first hear it. Many of us are so caught up in the illusions of our daily lives and "obligations" that we have forgotten our True Selves. But amidst the darkness, there is Light. Think about it. If this weren't so, what is it then that keeps us going in our most trying times?
The moments we cherish the most in our lives are the ones filled with joy and filled with peace. They shine the brightest of all our memories because they are filled with Light. Even when we become swept up in the stresses of our day-to-day routines, or when we find ourselves in a particularly dark and painful chapter of our lives, we continue to march on. We do this because we know that there will be joy again, and there will be peace again, no matter how many times we may deny that it is so. Deep down we know this, for why else would we keep going?
For some of us (and I am guilty of having been there myself), we do give up. We seek death, considering suicide to be the only way out of the hell we find ourselves. For those of us fortunate enough to see through these trying times, we do find joy and peace again. For those who tragically succeed in ending their lives by their own hands, they too, find joy and peace - for in actuality, they didn't die at all.
We must remember that we never really die. The end of one's life is only the end of their current body's life. Our spirit is eternal, for it was created by God. "I am as God created me." God created us out of His Love, which is expressed through our inherent Light and Joy and Peace abiding in each and every one of us. Even when the darkness of this physical world seems to engulf us entirely, our Infinite Nature remains - for not even death can extinguish our Light.

Day 111: Review - Lessons 91 & 92
We begin our third review in the workbook for A Course in Miracles today. It's hard to believe that I began this blog series 51 days ago at the end of the first review section. If you are a new reader or subscriber of my blog, take a look at my early postings, starting with Day 60: Welcome to the Countdown!
Today we review the following lessons:
Day 91: Miracles are seen in light.
Day 92: Miracles are seen in light, and light and strength are one.
Today's lessons remind us that in order to live a grander version of ourselves, we must look beyond the physical world we inhabit, for it is in Light where Miracles and the Gifts of God await. Miracles, as defined by the Course, are shifts in perception from fear to Love. To say they are seen in light does not suggest that they are only visible during the daytime or if we turn on a light in a dark room. The "light" referred to here is a metaphysical Light, one which is not visible to the human eye. Sight, then, in this circumstance, is a kind of extra-sensory vision. To See as such requires Strength.
The good news here is that we all have the Strength of God within us. We are extensions of God, and we are thus forever tied to Him and all the rest of His Children. We easily forget this living in a physical world, where we appear to have separate bodies and separate thoughts. Yet if we look deep enough, we will see that even on a microscopic scale we are connected. The atoms that comprise our bodies blend with the atoms in the air which surround us, which blend with all the other living (and nonliving) beings on this planet. Furthermore, our minds are joined to one another, as we are all in the One Mind of God. Again, by looking deep enough, we will tap into this reservoir. And what we will find there is pure Love, pure Joy, pure Peace, and the quiet and unfaltering Strength of God.
It is there, within each and every one of us, for at the Core of all there is only One. Just as you may look at the tops of your fingers and perceive them to be separate from one another, when you travel further down to see your whole hand, you notice that they are all connected by your palm. Like us, each finger has a different role, but they are all made of the same substance. Just as your fingers each have flesh, blood and bone, so our souls each have Love, Joy and Peace.
To recognize this is to be in Light. This is the Strength that comes with True Vision. This is where we begin. By realizing that We are All One, we tune our minds to a higher frequency. We join our minds to the One Universal Mind, which is God. This is the frequency where miracles will make themselves known. This is the frequency where we will experience Strength like we never knew possible.
Whenever you catch a glimpse of the palm of your hand today, remember from Where you Come. Set your mind to the frequency of Oneness, and what we once perceived in fear will shift to Love by virtue of the Miraculous.
Until tomorrow,
Journeyman

Day 110: I am as God created me.
Today's idea is repeated from Day 94, but the meditation for this lesson varies slightly. It is taken from the text portion of A Course in Miracles:
I am as God created me. His Son can suffer nothing. And I am His Son.
You and I and everyone else on the planet are all God's Children. We are the Sons and Daughters of God, and together, we make up the entire Sonship. This is what is meant by "I am His Son." When we realize that we are all connected, when we remember our Oneness, we recognize that each of us is a reflection of the other and that there is only One of us here. As Marianne Williamson, a great teacher of A Course in Miracles, says frequently in her lectures, "God has only one begotten Son, and we're all it."
I am as God created me. This statement gives us the true liberty we have been longing for. How could God have created anything less than Holy, less than Perfect, or less than Loving and Joyful? Doing so would speak very lowly of God, for why would He Who is the Origin of Creation, Who is Love's ignition, have made anything less than Glorious? We are extensions of God, and as so, we are as Perfect and Holy and Loving as He created us. Many of us, most of us, have simply forgotten this fact. But now is the time to remember.
Remember that you and I are but individuated Aspects of Divinity. We are singular expressions of God Himself. Nothing can change that. And as today's meditation tells us, His Son can suffer nothing. Anything by which we perceive ourselves to suffer, then, is simply nothing at all. It is part of the illusion we have made up in the process of forgetting Who We Really Are.
We are born into this world completely innocent and entirely pure. As we grow older and become brainwashed by our egos into a negative way of thinking, we forget how it is we came to be. We are still completely innocent and entirely pure. The wrongs we have done have not actually been done at all, for they never existed in the first place. Remember that we can suffer nothing.
As difficult as it may be to believe this at first, consider the possibility. Consider the possibility that any hurt you have inflicted, whether upon yourself or another, is all in your head. Consider the possibility that the things that have been and may continue to be stressful for you are but illusions in your mind. Imagine the release you would feel if you could be transported to another world on the opposite end of the galaxy, leaving all your troubles behind, and bringing with you only the good and joy and peace you so desire.
It is not only a possibility; it is Truth. When we remember Who We Really Are, we are transported. We return to the Heart of God, where there only exists Love, Light, and endless Joy. It is there where we experience our most cherished memories here on earth. And anything that does not reflect His Happiness is simply left behind, for it was never there to begin with.
As you move through your day today, remember this often. I am as God created me. You are a Holy Being, a Divine Incarnation, a Blessed Child of God - connected to every living being on the planet by virtue of the fact that we are all Expressions of God. You cannot suffer, because God would never have it so. Let suffering then fall behind into the land of nonexistence where it belongs. Claim your True Nature today. God, along with the rest of the world, is waiting for you to remember Who You Are.

Day 109: I rest in God.
I have nothing to add to today's meditation, as I believe the words which describe it are both profound and simple enough to stand alone. So I will include here the entire lesson from A Course in Miracles for today:
Until tomorrow,
Journeyman
We ask for rest today, and quietness unshaken by the world's appearances. We ask for peace and stillness, in the midst of all the turmoil born of clashing dreams. We ask for safety and for happiness, although we seem to look on danger and on sorrow. And we have the thought that will answer our asking with what we request.
"I rest in God." This thought will bring to you the rest and quiet, peace and stillness, and the safety and the happiness you seek. "I rest in God." This thought has power to wake the sleeping truth in you, whose vision sees beyond appearances to that of suffering for all the world, and everyone who ever came and yet will come to linger for a while. Here is the thought in which the Son of God is born again, to recognize himself.
"I rest in God." Completely undismayed, this thought will carry you through storms and strife, past misery and pain, past loss and death, and onward to the certainty of God. There is no suffering it cannot heal. There is no problem that it cannot solve. And no appearance but will turn to truth before the eyes of you who rest in God.
This is the day of peace. You rest in God, and while the world is torn by winds of hate your rest remains completely undisturbed. Yours is the rest of truth. Appearances cannot intrude on you. You call to all who join you in your rest, and they will hear and come to you because you rest in God. They will not hear another voice than yours because you gave your voice to God, and now you rest in Him and let Him speak through you.
In Him you have no cares and no concerns, no burdens, no anxiety, no pain, no fear of future and no past regrets. In timelessness you rest, while time goes by without its touch upon you, for your rest can never change in any way at all. You rest today. And as you close your eyes, sink into stillness. Let these periods of rest and respite reassure your mind that all its frantic fantasies were but the dreams of fever that has passed away. Let it be still and thankfully accept its healing. No more fearful dreams will come, now that you rest in God. Take time today to slip away from dreams and into peace.
Each hour that you take your rest today, a tired mind is suddenly made glad, a bird with broken wings begins to sing, a stream long dry begins to flow again. The world is born again each time you rest, and hourly remember that you came to bring the peace of God into the world, that it might take its rest along with you.
With each five minutes that you rest today, the world is nearer waking. And the time when rest will be the only thing there is comes closer to all worn and tired minds, too weary now to go their way alone. And they will hear the bird begin to sing and see the stream begin to flow again, with hope reborn and energy restored to walk with lightened steps along the road that suddenly seems easy as they go.
You rest within the peace of God today, and call upon your brothers from your rest to draw them to their rest, along with you. You will be faithful to your trust today, forgetting no one, bringing everyone into the boundless circle of your peace, the holy sanctuary where you rest. Open the temple doors and let them come from far across the world, and near as well; your distant brothers and your closest friends; bid them all enter here and rest with you.
You rest within the peace of God today, quiet and unafraid. Each brother comes to take his rest, and offer it to you. We rest together here, for thus our rest is made complete, and what we give today we have received already. Time is not the guardian of what we give today. We give to those unborn and those passed by, to every Thought of God, and to the Mind in which these Thoughts were born and where they rest. And we remind them of their resting place each time we tell ourselves, "I rest in God."Well said... Amen.
Until tomorrow,
Journeyman

Day 108: To give and to receive are one in truth.
Today's lesson in A Course in Miracles confirms what was discussed in Day 106:
To give and to receive are one in truth.
I will receive what I am giving now.
We begin today's hourly meditations with the statement above. We are then told to close our eyes and take five minutes to offer gifts to the world. For instance, we may say the following:
To everyone I offer Strength.
To everyone I offer Joy.
To everyone I offer Love.
The Course adds:
I encourage you to give this a try. Even if you don't believe you possess what it is you are giving, you will find that your intention to offer it to the world will open you up to receive it from God.
During the meditations today, I experienced what I can only describe as "warm chills." It was like a shiver coming from within and radiating out through my skin, only it was warm and blissful and felt absolutely wonderful. The greater I felt this, the more I was able to send what I was giving out into the world, which then returned back to me and magnified the feeling even more. In these moments I was truly a conduit for the gifts of God. If I was wishing Joy upon the world, I may have pictured college kids returning home to their mothers' tender embrace, or elderly people chuckling as they played a game of cards, or poor children in South Africa laughing as they danced barefoot on the soil. These images would conjure the feeling of Joy within me, and I would then envision this feeling flowing outward like a great wave as it blanketed the entire world in it. As I did this, my heart would seem to swell, and the warm chills I described would fill my insides and extend through my body and into the wave of Joy I saw in my mind.
You have nothing to lose in giving this a try, and absolutely everything to gain.
Let us return to this profound meditation if we ever feel that we are lacking any of God's great Gifts. These are not to be confused with gifts of the material world, for these operate under a different principle entirely, and one with which we need not concern ourselves. From God come the gifts of the Real world, which overcome any dramas we perceive here on earth. Whether it be Love, Joy, Strength, Peace, Safety or Abundance, know that it is yours as soon as you offer it upon the world. Such is God's Law of giving and receiving. And such are You, the Blessed Conduit from which His Gifts flow.
Until tomorrow,
Journeyman

Say each one slowly and then pause a while, expecting to receive the gift you gave. And it will come to you in the amount in which you gave it. You will find you have exact return, for that is what you asked. It might be helpful, too, to think of one to whom to give your gifts. He represents the others, and through him you give to all. This exercise was particularly powerful for me. It puts into practice the true concept of giving and receiving as a simultaneous action. In Day 106 I mentioned that when we are in the unified place of giving and receiving, we are an Open Channel: "Anything given us by God is then immediately extended to everyone else. As they receive it, so does God, and so it is given back to us."
I encourage you to give this a try. Even if you don't believe you possess what it is you are giving, you will find that your intention to offer it to the world will open you up to receive it from God.

Until tomorrow,
Journeyman
